4x4 Christmas....

Some very thoughtful person decided to share with me today, the fact that it's only 54 sleeps till Christmas....Yep, thanks for that! Like l need to be reminded how "UN" organised l am this year...:0(

I have been doing a little creating, but just haven't got around to taking pic's for posting and l'm thinking some will stay that way..:0)
Anyways, thought l would share some 4x4 cards that l had made a little while ago. These were fun and gave me the opportunity to play with the co-ordinations cardstock from Stampin-Up....loooove this stuff, although it does remind me a little of velvet/flock when it's sanded and if you know me, you will know l have total aversion to anything that feels like that, kinda like finger nails on a blackboard for others.

Just Add Ink #141......

Well another week has just flown by and once again it's "Just Add Ink" challenge time. This weeks challenge was provided by Kathy and l must say these colours are just gorgeous!

As soon as Kathy suggested this lovely combination l just new my card would end up being some form of "Vintage" inspiration, it really is so soft and pretty and was very different to anything l had used before!

I was really happy with this card when it was completed. l had fun using the the new Stampin-Up Holiday Frame embossing folder on a non Christmas card and adding the gold heat embossing just reminded me how much l enjoy playing with embossing techniques and watching that dull powder heat up and become a shiny "wow" factor!

The Design Team have some lovely inspiration for you and it seems I'm not on my own in loving this colour challenge, all of the samples this week are "drool worthy" and the girls have inspired me to dig these colours out and play again...:0)

CAS Christmas....

Just popping in to share a very "Clean & Simple" Christmas card with you, it literally took minutes to put together and as you can see by my last post, l had these colours out on my craft desk and thought why not!
I figure if l can aim for 2 cards each time l pull out my supplies, l should get up a reasonable supply, with out too much fuss.
Hmmm...note to self, trim off ribbon fray before taking pic's next time...:0)

Just Add Ink #140.....

It's time again for a new Challenge over at Just Add Ink and this weeks challenge was provided by Trish.
We want you to just add "CHEVRONS"....how easy is that? The amount you add is entirely up to you, some of the DT have used multiples of different colours, sizes, some have embossed and in my case l kept it to a minimum with "Diecut" sparkly Chevrons.

I decided to put my Chevrons to use on a Christmas card, in the hope of building my stash and getting the jump on panic creating as the silly season fast approaches...:0)

Just Add Ink #139.....

Gosh the weeks are just flying by lately, probably more the fact that l am getting old...:0) But today especially has me feeling rather haggard and emotional. My dad has just come out of 5hrs of surgery for Prostate Cancer and it has most definitely been a day of emotional overload.
Not that he will be reading this tonight, but I'm thinking of you Dad, love you! xxx

This week over at Just Add Ink ...Tina has challenged us all to just add..."Something Brand New" and as paper crafters the world over are much alike in their addiction, it shouldn't be to hard to find something "New" or something you have had for awhile and not yet used. Pretty sure we all have those purchases in our stash that we just had to have, but still need to use...:0)

As the Stampin-Up Catalogue year is only just beginning here, finding a new toy or two to use was pretty easy!

Just Add Ink #138.....

Well it's that time again and over at Just Add Ink this week we have a gorgeous colour challenge for you provided by Kim.
The Design Team have pulled out all stops with this challenge and I'm sure you will be blown away by the lovely inspiration they have created for you. Don't forget to stop by their blogs and leave them some lovin!

I thought this was a really lovely colour combination to work with, especially as it contains one of my fave new Stampin-Up In-Colours called "Summer Starfruit". I do love them all, but this is probably the one l have used most so far.
I kept my card rather crisp and aimed for a bit of a modern feel this week and l also got to ink up my new "Distressed Dots" background stamp. You know the one you don't think you really need, but buy anyway!  Soooo...glad l did, l love the effect of the partially inked dots and it also looks great inked and stamped off for a much softer look, who needs "Dotty" DSP when you can create your own...:0)

I left the gorgeous flower from "Blooming with Kindness" as is, apart from using clear EP, initially l had planned on water colouring it, but decided that would be overkill!
