Just Add Ink #127.........

Morning to you!  Well this week over at Just Add Ink we have a super easy to play with challenge for you!  Check this out..........
Cool huh?  You pretty much have a free range with this one, as long as you stick to Black-White + one that is! Heaps of possibilities really...

Here's my challenge entry for this week, my + one is Silver/Grey, actually not sure if they count as colours, but it works for me ...lol

I had a lot of fun putting this card together, die cutting, clear embossing & playing with the Simply Score board.
It has such a lovely sparkle and shimmer and is a style very different from anything else l have done, it's always good to stretch the creative boundaries..:0)

Well that's it from me, I'll keep it short and sweet! Don't forget to pop over to the Just Add Ink Blog and be inspired by the gorgeousness from the rest of the DT.

Just Add Ink #126.....

Having just spent 18 glorious days in Bali with my family l am ready for some crafting time.....l am so looking forward to getting inky and creating and hopefully l will have some fun stuff to share with you shortly.
Now onto this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge. We have a great sketch for you to play with this week provided by Mae and the Design Team have some fab creations to inspire you.

For my card for this week l have used some DSP from one of the numerous 6x6 pads l have collected over time but have only used the odd page from, this one is called "Happy Day" from simple stories and l love the muted colours and fun retro feel.

Using Chocolate Chip Cardstock for the base and mat layers, l pretty much let the DSP do the rest. As the card base was so dark l added a writing panel on the inside and of course that just needed a little something too.......

Don't forget to pop over to Just Add Ink and have a peek at the wonderful DT creations and l hope we see you pop up in the gallery this week.

Just Add Ink #125.......

Who's feeling chilly? whether your feeling the cold in your neck of the woods or toasty and enjoying the sunshine, our challenge for you at Just Add Ink this week is to "Just Add Winter"......Brrrrrrrrr

I really wanted to make a card that was just a winter theme, but most of my original ideas ended up very christmassy, due to a lack of appropriate stamps to play with.
But l finally managed to put this one together and the bonus was that l liked the way it turned out!

I used a technique called "Faux Mother of Pearl" and l love the effect it creates and it is so simple to do.
Using gloss cardstock and pearl shimmer paint applied with a sponge, l randomly pounced over the base leaving some areas un-covered, after drying l used another sponge to apply some Crumbcake ink in a circular motion until l was happy with the depth of colour.

Well, as you can see , my concession to "WINTER" was an umbrella card, with a little bit of elegance with all the shimmer and gold cardstock layer.
Don't forget to pop over and see the awesomeness from the rest of the DT and play along if you can.

One more "Happy Birthday"....

Just popped in to share another recent Birthday card for the very sweet Chantell, one of the Just Add Ink DT.  I recently had the pleasure of meeting Chantell and her equally lovely sister Nadine at Convention, these 2 beautiful sisters were an absolute pleasure to spend time with and hopefully we can do it all again one day, as the time with them was all to quick before we were all winging our way back home.
Anyway, here is Chantells card.........

As you can see a very CAS monochromatic style, but l think that is what l like about it! As l had used Night of Navy, l needed to add a writing panel on the inside, so that too got a little decorating in the CAS look.
